She seemed banned, but she is back, the witch. However, she does not appear in the form we expected and which has been attributed to her over time. She does not fly, she does not wear a pointed hat. She helps us to understand current conflicts from a different perspective.

At a time when rationality seems to have pushed magic aside, the artist transforms the town hall forecourt into a place of reflection. In doing so, she raises the question of what the narratives and attributions surrounding the witch and her persecution, as well as the later approach to this figure, have to do with today‘s reality.

Perhaps the witch can even give us back some of her magic: the magic that lies in caring and in connecting with oneself, with each other and with nature.
