With an investigative approach, Fabienne Margue develops artistic strategies for dealing with personal and collective emotions, as well as internal and external conflicts. She uses performance, sculptural textile elements, and site-specific installation to explore both public and private spaces and the emotional and physical body in relation to them.
Starting from the body, her work focuses on issues around care, acts of support, vulnerability, interdependency and interconnectedness, examining why care-related practices are pushed to the margins of society instead of being recognized for their value. She artistically deconstructs existing social and historical narratives and creates new images, meanings, and questions; inviting a more attentive and compassionate way of relating to one another.
